Manager-Security Operations - Dover International Speedway (Dover, DE)
JOB TITLE: Security Manager
MAJOR FOCUS:
• Responsible for the development and implementation of event security and physical security programs
• Responsible for compliance with local, state, federal and industry security regulations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Establishes and maintains physical security program elements
• Establishes and maintains security elements of event emergency planning
• Plans, prepares and conducts security training as needed
• Promotes pro-active security awareness and monitoring programs, coaching and motivating at all levels
• Coaches leadership in security responsibilities and leadership actions to drive performance
• Organizes and conducts security inspections
• Creates and operates within established budget
• Controls and reduces security risk through education, safety programs and preventive measures
• Reviews all event files to determine action needed to facilitate investigations for litigation purposes
• Works within established standards to apply proven cost containment strategies
• Assists with accident investigations, reports on findings, makes recommendations and takes corrective actions
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
• Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
• At least ten years of law enforcement or security experience
• Extensive experience in creating and implementing security programs
• Extensive knowledge of general facility security standards and training requirements
• Exceptional understanding of liability insurance and workers compensation laws and regulations
• Extensive knowledge of Delaware State Code.
• NIMS ICS 100, 200 & 700
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive results through others
• Operations experience helpful
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to develop and coach management at multiple levels of the organization
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• Ability to conduct effective training classes
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work; initiative; well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to set and achieve high standards of performance; ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints; and ability to travel to various locations on business.

• Ability to develop analyses of risk and security data
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Must be able to travel 10% of the time
• Emergency response may be required on 24-hour basis
