Responsible for all Drag Racing related areas and the supervision of drag strip employees.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administer the rules of Gateway International Raceway, Dover Motorsports, Inc. and the National Hot Rod Association to ensure the safety and safe operations of all drag strip events for all competing and in attendance. 
Work with VP/General Manager and Operations Director to supervise the activities of the facility maintenance, operations, safety and security departments as they relate to all drag strip activities.
Oversee and directly manage onsite all drag strip events.  These include but are not limited: to weekly Test-n-Tune, Local Bracket racing, Midnight Madness, NHRA Open, MegaBucks, UBDRA, Monster Mopar, Nostalgia, AHDRA, PINKS, and any other use of the drag strip for any reason.  Approximately 110 ? 150 events.
Directly manage and maintain in top working order the Compulink Timing System.
Oversee all track preparation for drag strip events.  
Oversee and maintain all equipment related to the drag strip.  Including: tractors, sprayers, public address and other track-owned equipment.  
Oversee and manage all drag strip employees.
Oversee, manage and administer racer payouts.
Oversee and manage drag strip related budgets and profit/loss as set with VP/GM.
Manage the Drag Racing Rental Business, including soliciting new renters, managing current relationships, fulfilling corporate and renter needs for event.
